Pianist Clifford Borg takes the stage at St. Augustine Monastery on 27th November 2018 at 12 noon, to perform a blend of his own compositions and a number of piano works by classical composers. Clifford Borg`s piano miniatures, with their attractive blend of traditional “classical techniques and jazz/pop sensibilities are the basis of his work. His delicate pieces ooze sentiment and energy in varying juxtaposed measures”.

Having tasted different, contrasting types of music, Clifford Borg has managed to weld these experiences in a style which is varied in its points of reference but which is at the same time simple, tuneful and entertaining.

Clifford will be performing vibrant excerpts from his albums “Origin” and “Drifted”, namely Emergence, Wings, Simplicity, Secret Energy and Closed Chapter. Moreover, he will be performing Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango, Morricone’s Gabriel’s Oboe, La Fille aux cheveux de lin by Claude Debussy and Erik Satie’s Gnossiene Number 1.

Clifford Borg has released two piano based albums so far “Drifted” in 2012 and “Origin” in 2008. He has also worked on two world albums which are “Cross- Origin” in 2014 and his latest release “Eco- Harmony” in 2018. Apart from performing concerts at his homebase in Malta,   Clifford has played extensively in Europe including Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, Lago Maggiore and other cities.  His latest performance was at the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic Hall last October as part of the Enlightened Piano Radio Awards.
