CLIFFORD BORG CHOSEN AS THE OFFICIAL COMPOSER FOR THE MALTA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (MIFF)

Malta International Film Festical (MIFF) director Hisham Abdel Khalek chose Clifford Borg as the official composer of the festival theme song. Clifford Borg is a young musician, popular on the International Musical Scene and is considered one of the most talented composers and pianists in Malta, offering the public enjoyable “chill-out piano music sounds”. What is striking about Borg is how he manages to combine so many influences and make them his own.

The theme will be an extract from one of Borg's latest compositions; his new double album "Origin", recorded in Belgium, Germany and Malta will be released in 2007. The musical piece is called "Complete Origin", which is a cross over of world music. This type of musical style fits perfectly with the theme and objectives of the festival. Borg and the festival's publications director will together select 45 seconds of the piece. The theme song will be used in the TV-RADIO advertising campaign of the festival, a clip played just before all films projections and during all the official festival functions. The MIFF will be held during the 15th and 23rd September 2007.
